William & Liz Irwin have been missionaries in France since 1993. Prior to moving to their current location William & Liz were serving the Lord in Laval with Global Literature Outreach. In 1999 the Lord led them to Nantes. Currently working with Operation Mobilisation (O.M.) in their Global Action Programme they also serve in the local Assembly at Nantes with Gerry and Dorothy Seed (listed in Echoes of Service and Harvest Fields).
Nantes in the Loire valley is a beautiful and culturally rich area with its historic buildings and castles. Yet it is one of the regions in France with the fewest churches and is an area where there are so many spiritual needs. OM France has been working in this region for the past 8 years through its Easter/Summer outreaches and year teams.
The Global Action Programme involves language learning, friendship evangelism and church planting. Young people come to spend a year with Operation Mobilisation in France by working with a local Assembly and help out a full time worker who does not have the help needed within his Assembly. William & Liz’s main role is to supervise this work and involves organizing the study programme that the young students follow each morning, door-to-door work, open-airs, calendar distribution, evangelism evenings, youth work etc.
